Thought I would share these photos taken late September in the North Cascades (Coquihalla Mountains of SW British Columbia). I'm sure they are Mountain Beaver burrows but these are the first I've seen. Neat throw mounds and lots of cut vegetation near the burrows. Numerous burrows were located all in fairly wet (swampy) areas along a major drainage. Enjoy!

Hi Rob, great photos.  Our Aplodontia line their burrows with sword ferns.  Do you know what that shrub was?
